This project was inspired by a brand I admire as an exercise of my pattern making abilities. I started sewing this dress as a recreation but after reworking a couple prototypes and choosing a final fabric, the design took a new shape.

The fabric I chose gave the dress a more structured silhouette and lining the bodice provided more support. I also modified the skirt to a more flattering length for a petite person.

I drew detailed flats and built out a tech pack to show how I would provide manufacturing with all the necessary details to produce this garment.
